Smart Climate Control Systems

ALTEN GT has been developing Smart Climate Control systems which enables your home to step into the future. Maintain and control the climate of your house with a simple click of a button. The revolutionary venture is implemented by embedding IoT modules on Air-Conditioners used in both domestic and commercial fields. ALTEN GT has developed IoT Hub and IoT Cloud backend for the same, with the application backend based in Amazon Web services. The Smart AC can be controlled remotely with the help of mobile, web and desktop control software developed by ALTEN GT which in turn can be integrated with other products like Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa etc.

Smart climate control of just the beginning, ALTEN GT is in the process of extending this framework to all home appliances.

Smart Home Automation Solutions

ALTEN GT has taken an active role in testing and developing Smart Home Automation solutions. The programme was initially developed by one of our European clients who is a major player in automation, controls, and energy management. The key process of the same is carried out with the help of the SHAS common gateway, which provides the client the ability to interconnect and control various sensors, actuators, and energy management components in the Smart Home System. Thus, ALTEN GT has developed the Test framework to test SHAS common and application gateway. Additionally, a test framework has also been developed to automate test scenarios without external dependencies, with the main purpose of testing the Application Gateway by mocking the SHAS Common Gateway.

The tests are runnable from a common continuous integration service like Jenkins via Maven whenever a new version software is released, and reports are generated in HTML format. The database is handled over REST API with JSON, and Communication between the application and devices/SHAS are via MQTT.

ALTEN GT has developed a Test framework for testing SmartHome Gateway by creating an Application Mock to publish the simulated user input to control SmartHome devices to Test Application Gateway. The AGW reactions are then monitored and validated in Common Gateway Mock via a registered topic of MQTT messages and the results are shared to Test Framework.
